Energy And Environment

The Environment and Energy Department conducts a wide range of research and development in the areas of identification, control and reduction of contaminants in air, water and soil. Our research and development focused toward the environmental contamination, environmental remediation and energy. Main research activities are organized into three research focus areas.

  • Environment contamination
  • Environmental remediation
  • Energy efficiency

We have experience in the following technical and research areas:

  • Phytoremediation of soil and water sites
  • Treatment of residual waters through membrane biological reactors
  • Development of electrodes for fuel cells
  • Waste management and remediation planning
  • Energyefficiency and simulation studies
  • Development of bio-degradable renewable composite materials
  • Wastetreatment processes

Some of Our Services:

  • Radiationprotection courseforpersonnelworkingwithindustrialx-raysand radiation
  • Monitoring of atmospheric contaminants from plume sources (compliance withPROFEPA, SSA, STPS¡SSA normsand regulations)
  • Water quality laboratory (potable and residual water characterization (JMAS) and residual treated waters
  • Monitoring of radiation levelsfrom x-raysin industrialinstallations
  • Determination of specific activity of natural and artificial radioactive isotopes¡ in food and materials
  • Characterization¡ classification and identification of residues
