Who we are?
El Centro de Investigación en Materiales Avanzados, S.C. (CIMAV) is an institution integrated into the Sistema Nacional de Centros Públicos (National System of Public Centers). It was founded in the city of Chihuahua in October 1994. Its creation was originated by agreement between the Federal Government and the State Government of Chihuahua and the Chihuahua Delegation of Canacintra, (Camara Nacional de la Industria de la Transformacion), National Chamber for the Transformation of Industry, which have conferred particular characteristics that have benefited its process of development in a most fortunate way.
